Industries

Triton Associates works across a broad spectrum of industries, focusing on those where there is the highest “structural” opportunity to be capitalised on from Purchasing. The industries we serve include:

  • Process industries (oil/gas/chemicals)
  • Extraction/Minerals
  • Manufacturing/Fabrication (consumer/durable goods)
  • Service Industries, including Financial Services, Pharmaceutical/Health Care
  • Media companies (publishers)

Ownership

Our Clients have varied ownership structures, including:

  • Stock-market quoted
  • Closely (family)-owned
  • Private Equity owned
  • Hybrid ownership

Size

In terms of size, Triton Associates has worked for “Global 100” companies and companies with sales of under € 100m. The key criterion for suitability of a project for an Triton Associates engagement is the cost/benefit of our work.

Except under unusual circumstances defined by our Clients, a “successful” project should yield a minimum of three times the annual savings as the one-off cost of our support. The savings that can be obtained are a function of:

  • The category(ies) of goods and services purchased – intrinsically more categories lead to greater complexity
  • The number of business units involved in scope
  • The geographic span
  • The organisational complexity of the buy-in process

The precise work plan is the outcome of a preliminary discussion between Triton Associates and our Client organisation.
